We can either get a new crowns done or do a good restoration if it's not too badly broken down. If there is less tooth structure remaining, a post might also be needed to retain your crown. The sharp edges need to be trimmed down..
first and foremost you need to have an clinical examination to determine if the crown is broken or tooth is broken along with crown. accordingly treatment can be planned but as per your description it seems crown is damaged which can be easily replaced
You can get a new crown done if tooth is not broken. Do not leave the tooth without cap as the tooth will break and also there will be microleakage in that tooth leading to reinfection of tooth.
