Ringworm on beard and moustaches

If you have ringworm on your hair and mustaches, is it really necessary to wash your hands even if they touch your mustache or beard slightly. I want to stop it from spreading to the scalp. OCD has developed in me and I have to wash my hands many times a day. My hands have turned white and dry. Please tell me the solution
