Right Upper back pain
Hello! I am suffering from right upper back pain for 36 hrs. Initially I thought It was caused by muscle strain while sleeping..but after 12 hrs pain has increased now I feel pain on my left chest as well, while coughing...I did exercise too to get relief but no result. Please suggest.

This is because of wrong posture. Miscles spasm is increasing and creating problem in movements as well as breathing.
Next Steps
Go to a physiotherapist.. Ultrasonic therapy +IFT /TENS/heat therapy +some stretching and deep breathing exercises will be helpful.
Health Tips
At home.. Rest +hot water fomentation +pain killer gel +avoid exertion or long sitting/no long travelling.

Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

If you had slept on your left side with the pillow underneath shoulder/chest and right hand over head or other straining position, then yes your pain is because of your sleeping posture. You myt have developed costochondral pain with the right lats strain.
Next Steps
3_4 days rest without any physical exercises,  try deep breathing exercise. Meet nearest physiotherapist or othopaedic to confirm the condition.

Greetings, Sorry about your pain.   YOUR DESCRIPTION SUGGESTS MUSCLE STRAIN AND NOTHING ELSE. Your back muscles have developed spasm and hence for pain to go away you need to do correct exercise.   no weight lifting. Twist action or exercise   never expect pain to go away just like that.

May be it's muscular strain.Don't do any exercise now. Visit physiotherapy center take IFT and ULTASOUND treatment and learn strengthening exercise for neck do it regularly.. Apply pain relief gel and do hot formatation 15 mins 2-3 times a day..Take full break from your work atleast 1-2 days.

Don't band your neck n work..follow ergonomics, possible than work on dest top not in lap top, take frequent break in work do some neck warm up exercise every 1-2 hr in work time. Avoid carrying bagpack on one side. avoid bike riding and once pain is subsite do neck strngthening exercise every day
