Right thumb hair line facture
I got hair line facture on my right thumb on the center part(IP joint). I want to know how many days it will cure. One orthopedic doctor suggested me to have thumb splint for 3weeks and it will cure by that period and also wrote pain killer for 10 days. Can I know is this treatment sufficient or would you suggest anything more?? Your valuable suggestion for me will be very much helpful and highly appreciated. Thank you.

More or less the treatment that has been given to u is sufficient. rest to affected part is must for 3 weeks followed by physiotherapy. if the fracture is in the joint as indicated by you, you should be moving the joint 10 mins every two hourly to prevent stiffness and arthritis in later stage.

Yes 3 weeks is good enough time.
I would suggest additional ice pack application locally and Tab Enzomac forte twice daily for 14 days.
