There is little bit of itching and needle like pain in throat and tonsil and tightness in ear . Is it normal or something serious as it is now there is from last 2 years I think. Many Dr. Replied to go to doctor and many reply to connect but no one tell by seeing picture whether is it normal or not. Please reply is it normal?

Your Symptoms: • Right tonsil bigger than left for 2 years. • Right external ear canal swelling without pain, but with tightness sometimes. • Mild itching and needle-like pain in throat/tonsil. • Feeling of tightness in ear. • No severe pain or systemic symptoms. First, to answer you honestly: • Tonsil asymmetry is not always normal, especially when it persists over years. • But it is not always serious either. • Most cases are due to chronic inflammation, scarring, or benign conditions. • Rarely, it can be a sign of something concerning like a slow-growing tumor (example: lymphoma, tonsillar cancer). Important Red Flags you should watch for (if any are present, it’s more serious): • Rapidly increasing tonsil size. • Weight loss. • Difficulty swallowing (progressive). • Ear pain severe and deep inside. • Blood in saliva. • Lump in neck (hard, not painful). • Severe trismus (difficulty opening mouth). That’s why doctors recommend physical check-up. Summary: • Most likely: Chronic tonsillitis, chronic mild otitis externa. • But to be safe, one ENT visit (for physical exam + maybe fiberoptic check) is recommended. • Probably not serious, but needs ruling out serious causes properly once
Next Steps
You have mostly mild symptoms without strong red flags. But, because tonsillar asymmetry persisting >1 year is considered important to assess properly, I recommend getting examined physically by an ENT surgeon. If an in-person clinical examination is not possible — it is advisable to undergo a Contrast-Enhanced CT (CECT) scan of the neck (extending from the base of skull to the clavicle).
