In my opinion u must go for dry needling technique as it is a muscular pull at the back... this technique will be done intramuscularly to get relieved for swelling... followed by hot fermentation and ultrasonic therapy...
Next Steps
U need to find a physio who is practicing this technique...
Health Tips
Do not bend ur back Do not check your pain Hot fermentation with rubber bottle at home twice a day...specially at night before going to bed to avoid morning stiffness... Do not lift heavy weights till ur pain subsides Do not sit or stand for prolonged periods...

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

Dear. Kindly lie down on your tummy for 20 mins three times in the day and place an ice pack on the spot of concern.  Make sure the ice pack is made of real ice crushed and not the ready made ones or gel packs that you get in the market.
Health Tips
make sure your comfortable and relaxed when your lying down.
