Right side chest pain lateral side since 2 days. There is a mild pain on and off when I drink or eat. I was almost recovering till I got a sneeze yesterday. Suddenly pain increased.. it's difficult to sleep. First I thought it may be due to gas but I feel it's an injury may be to my rib or something.

I would strongly advise you to visit an orthopaedic first. It's acute so you will need medication to settle the pain. After a week, start going for a walk. Avoid heavy lifting and forward bending for a month. Sit straight with lumbar support. Avoid the sofa and bed sitting. Take frequent breaks. It seems to be a thoracic derangement causing increased pain on sneezing due to increased pressure in the spine. Rest yourself. Visit a physio to teach you a few spinal exercises if it's the first episode. If it's chronic, sign for a back strengthening regimen. All the best.
Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.
Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day.
Based on your history
