  3. RIG for kitten scratch? Help me why?

RIG for kitten scratch?
I got a minor scratch from a stray kitten who was not vaccinated. When I went to local Hospital they gave me 4 shots of ARV(anti rabies vaccine) but did not give me RIG(rabies immunoglobulin). Can anybody help me why?

Immunoglobulin is only give if it is a category 3 wound. Major bite/bleeding is present. Otherwise RIG is not required if your immunization schedule is complete.
