I have 2 cockatiel chicks which are 20 days old.. I've been handfeeding them since 4 days.
I have family history of atopy. And have mild allergy to dust.
I've been told about risk of bird fancier's lung and respiratory infections from birds and am advised to give them off.
I would like to know how frequently such infections occur and if any precautions can be taken to avoid them ?
Should any blood tests or any investigations be done on regular basis to pick up infections early? And is it risky to keep them when you're planning a family
