I understand you are feeling worried after seeing your CT scan reports. Let me explain them to you clearly: 1. Type of Scan Done: The report mentions MSCT scan of abdomen (Plain + Contrast). This means it was a routine contrast-enhanced CT of the abdomen, not a specialized triple-phase liver CT. A triple-phase CT is usually done only when doctors specifically want a very detailed look at liver lesions or tumors. Your scan was done to check all abdominal organs together (liver, spleen, kidneys, pancreas, intestines, bladder, etc.). 2. Findings in Your Report: Liver: Shows changes of chronic liver disease (cirrhosis) with early signs of portal hypertension (pressure changes in liver veins). Spleen: Mildly enlarged (splenomegaly), which is common in liver disease with portal hypertension. Veins: Some collateral vessels are seen (body’s way of bypassing high pressure in the liver). Kidneys: A small stone is seen in the right kidney. Left kidney normal. Gall bladder, pancreas, prostate, urinary bladder, bowel loops: All appear normal. No definite liver tumor, no fluid collection, no major lymph nodes seen. 3. What This Means for You: You have chronic liver changes (cirrhosis) with early complications like portal hypertension and spleen enlargement. Importantly, no cancerous lesion or mass is seen in the liver on this scan. However, if your treating doctor wants a more detailed look at the liver only (for suspected nodules/lesions), then a triple-phase CT or MRI liver may be advised. 4. Next Steps for You: ✅ Continue follow-up with your liver specialist/gastroenterologist. ✅ Regular blood tests (LFT, CBC, INR) to monitor liver function. ✅ Avoid alcohol, painkillers (NSAIDs), and unnecessary medicines that can harm the liver. ✅ Maintain a healthy diet (low salt, high protein if doctor allows). ✅ Treat the kidney stone if it causes pain or obstruction. ✅ If any new symptoms develop (vomiting blood, black stools, swelling of abdomen, yellow eyes), consult urgently. --- 🔹 In short: This scan is a general abdominal CT with contrast, not triple-phase liver. It confirms cirrhosis with portal hypertension but shows no liver tumor or dangerous finding right now.

Hlo sir The scan was done to look at overall abdominal organs, not specifically for detailed liver lesions (triple-phase CT is needed for that). Many imaging centers do plain + contrast CT as a general check for liver, spleen, kidneys, and other organs. It is common practice if a detailed triple-phase is not requested. Anxiety among family is understandable, but this report does give important information about cirrhosis and portal hypertension, and no tumor/mass was found. You don't need to panic, but cirrhosis and portal hypertension need follow-up by a gastroenterologist or hepatologist. They may suggest: blood tests (liver function, coagulation), ultrasound Doppler, or in some cases, triple-phase CT/MRI if needed later. Avoid alcohol, follow diet and medications as advised by your doctor. I hope it help
