Repetitive and too much talking.
Hello, I have a senior citizen at home , she is diabetic and on insulin and oral hypoglycemic drugs for the same. I am just concerned about her psychological health because she talks too much and repeat conversations multiple times. Sometimes she talks non stop for almost 2-3 hrs without stopping and switch the conversation from one topic to other without nay hault. She also doesn't understand weather you are talking to someone on phone or you are sleepy or have some work to do. I just want to know weather this is normal at her age or initial stage of some disorder. Kindly help.

From your narrative it s evident that she is not definitely not normal. Probably she is suffering from onset of dementia or a psychotic disorder. Delirium or Hypo/Hyperglycemia are other possibility. It's in your best interest if you take her to a psychiatrist for detailed evaluation so that her diagnosis can be confirmed and she can be started on appropriate treatment. Regards.
