Repeated miscarriage
Had 2 miscarriages in a year, 36 years. first miscarriage was missed miscarriage at 8 weeks. second miscarriage was spontaneous expulsion of fetus at 17 weeks. During 2nd pregnancy had repeated urinary infection and was given antibiotics. Had 2 fibroids one at left lateral wall and the other at right lateral wall both 5-6 cm size which grew 8-9 cm during pregnancy and right one had cystic degeneration. Had severe pain during 3rd month which stopped after 2 days hospitalisation and given fluids. Again severe pain developed during 4th month and was hospitalised for 3 days, pain did not reduce and water broke and baby expelled immediately. What is the reason for my miscarriages and will I be able to have a baby

Exact cause of miscarriage is difficult to find out in most cases. Still you need to do certain tests like karyotyping of Husband and Wife, Anti Phospholipid testing and 3D USG. Sperm DNA fragmentation can help. Even if all the tests are normal, the prognosis is usually good. Most of the time thete won't be any recurrence of the miscarriage.

Reason for 2nd baby is multiple fibroid and the inability of the uterus to hold the baby till 10 months if the cervical length is incompetent or a preterm delivery. definitely you can have a baby, provided you could sort out things with prenatal vitamins and adequate support tablets after pregnancy with or without cervical stitch. decision on whether u need myomectomy surgery before next pregnancy can be determined only by mapping the fibroid s
