Relent syrup for wet cough
Hi Doctor,
My son is 19 months old. He is having cough. When he cough a wheezing like hard cough sounds will be observed.And I have given him relent syrup 2.5 ml dialy from last week but it is not reduced.
Kindly suggest is this syrup can be used for wet cough. How it reduces .

I think wat ur refering to is whooping cough, possible due to anaerobic infection. Diagnosis wuld be more clear on physical examinatoon but since its so chronic there is no harm in goin through course of macrolides that is azithromycin. Expecting weight of 12-15 kg i wuld recomend syp azithromycin for 3 days with added bronchodilator like asthalin syrup for wheezing.
