Regestrone medicine duration

Asked for Female, 23 Years

I was originally prescribed to take regestrone for 21 days till 3 cycles. I had irregular menstrual cycle. But I got my period on 16th day of taking regestrone and I'm still 5 tablets left to reach 21 days. What shall I do? Shall I continue taking tablet till 21 days and rest for 7 days or Shall I halt for 7 days now as I got my period and continue after 7 days?
