+)Are they to sensitive cold(like ice cream)
+)Can the pain be radiated to the second last molar too?
{Yes the last molar hurts too but its on and off, with gum and jaw pain}. +)As for the second last molar - i was told i had a cavity there.Doctor pointed it out in one place but drilled in another.
Its been 1 week since then:
+)But what confuses me is that the teeth(2nd last molar) has 2 kinds of pain -
1st is a dull throbbing(tooth feels hotter) near the filling(between the last tooth and the filling) from time to time. 2nd is a sharp and sensitive(to ice cream)on and off pain on tip of the 2nd last molar , where it connects with last.
So :
i)Is it because of the wisdom tooth
ii)Is it natural
iii)The dentist filled the wrong place , cavity still there
iv) Faulty filling
v)etc, etc. It could be a combination, assumption , anything - i would just like to gain some insight about what i should do next...
*Also: what is the cost of a cbct scan and is it needed to pull the wisdom tooth out..

as per the OPG xray provided by you,you are having 5 unerupted teeth.of that 5 teeth ,tooth number 38 and 48 have chances to erupt since your age is only 18 years...where as tooth number 18,28 are impacted and they have no chance of eruption since they are totally curved...so you need to undergo extraction of those teeth to avoid damage to upper 2nd molars...because of those teeth you are having sensitivity and pain symptoms .....and in the OPG i can see the restoration in upper left 1st molar and no cavity is present in 16 ,17 or 27 teeth...and about your impacted premolar i.e 45 ,i better suggest you go for extraction because root is highly curved or you can consult an orthodontist if by means of bracing they can save the premolar
