Water soluble products  will not only be absorbed by the skin, but will actually dry you skin out unless you rinse thoroughly. Water has no real lubrication properties - it is actually a solvent. Use lubricating gels or creams specific for the purpose you need water based lubes. As only water & sperms are not that friendly.
