Regarding Eyesight
I am 19 years old and I started wearing spectacles 2 months back. On ny first consultation with a doctor I was prescribed -0.5D Cylindrical In Right eye and -0.25D cylindrical in Left eye. on my second consultation with another Doctor I was prescribed -0.75D cylindrical power in Both the eyes. Both doctors have me only cylindrical power. However, I am wearing the First Prescription that is -0.25D and -0.5D. It's been almost 2 months now of constant wear. 1. Do I Now have to wear spectacles all the time? 2. If I don't wear spectacles all the time, is there any chance for my eye sight to get weaker? 3. Generally, Can my eyes get more weak now as I become older? 4. Can you recommend me some way to correct my eyesight naturally?. I wear Spectacles all the time as of now so Please help me with the above 4 Questions. Thank you so much!

Hello, 1. Irrespective of whether you wear your specs or not, your eye power is bound to change, and keeps changing..and slowly it gets to a constant number, after a few years. 2. So if you don't wear the specs, you will get eye strain.. heavy eyes, tired , headache etc, and the symptoms are more for cylindrical power. So keep the habit of wearing the specs. 3.Dont assume that your eyes are getting "weaker", eye sight issues depend on the size and nature and lenght of your eyeball. So as your hieght increases, eye ball size can change, and number changes.
Next Steps
After 21 years of age, and after your eye power remaiins stabke for more than one year, you can opt for refractive surgery. after a detailed examination.
Health Tips
contact lenses are also an option.
