Regarding drinking milk in sleep
My baby is 4 months old, he is not drinking milk when awake, he takes nipple in mouth & then drink some milk & starts to cry & scream but while in sleep at night he drinks milk without crying. Why is it so? Is it normal or cause of concern?

During breastfeeding till 6 months Nursing strike can happen. It will continue for 4-5 days and then return back to normal.. so many causes are there of nursing strike.. as minor as change of perfume mother uses. During this time increase skin to skin contact with baby.. cuddle more often and spend time with baby as much as possible.. try to give feed when baby asleep. Never force feed. I hope this will be helpful

NEVER feed the baby while asleep. At this age, give feeds ONLY on demand, which should be at a gap of atleast 3 hours, don't wake her up for feeds, she'll wake up herself when hungry!! Passing adequate amount of urine is the best indicator of sufficient oral fluid intake,in this case milk. Maintain regularity in feeds and ensure strict hygiene. Give ONLY milk, nothing else, till 6 months, including supplements.
