REGARDING BLOOD TESTS
My doctor has ordered me to undergo certain blood investigations on an empty stomach. What does an empty stomach mean concerning blood tests? Can't we drink even water before giving the blood sample?

Empty stomach means that you should not have anything by mouth for at least 8 hours before the test. In some tests even water is not allowed. But for most of the tests few sips of water are permitted.

Patient's detailed medical history is required. It is recommended to consult a doctor professional through the Practo app or visit a local medical facility for a thorough evaluation. Please keep in mind that detailed medical history is crucial for proper diagnosis and treatment.
