Regarding betnosol 12mg inj.
I hv 32 wk pregnancy, and doc given betnosol inj. 12mg(2 dose). In baby growth scan baby wt found 2530 GM in 32 wk. Doc told it is a macrosomnia. Plz suggest/help me. Before 1month everything is assumed normal.

I think why they have given betnosol is wrong just go for second line scan and nothing to b done baby will b normal

Betnesol is given for fetal lung maturity when your gynaecologist anticipates imminent delivery within 7 days in a pregnancy of less than 34 weeks and sometimes even less than 37 weeks.

R u gestational diabetic There is bigger size of baby for gestation , but lungs of baby r not matured enough for that age Steroids are given for lung maturity So that in case u get into 35-36 weeks delivery pain, lung maturity of healthy looking baby shud not be a problem

Inj betnesol is for lung maturity of baby.. And comment on growth scan can only be done if serial usg are available.. Do get sugar test done if your doctor is saying macrosomia.. And also hope that your level 2 usg was done n all was normal
