Regarding a doubt sir
Sir im a doctor .. i had a patient who is 35 yrs old male who said he is using manual (digital) evacuation of stools as he finds it easy and it has been a habit for past 15 yre for him...he is asking whether it increases his risk of ano rectal cancer..??what are your say in it sir

Any chronic irritation can cause cancer.
It is rare to find such history.
He requires definite treatment to get rid of the manual evacuation

It usually increase risk of rectal ulcer and solitary rectal ulcer syndrome. Dont know any know case of rectal cancer due to it..
Next Steps
Give laxatives and can consider sphincterotomy if sphincter are too tight for helping him in defecation
