Greetings. There are 2 things to consider here. is there pain? in case of no pain it is advisable to get her teeth SDF treated, which will arrest the cavity in its stage , and then a filling could be done aftr assessing the teeth aftr a few days. Second, in case food is being lodged & she complains of discomfort, its best to get them filled since she is just 5 yrs old .
Health Tips
SDF IS VERY IMPORTANT TO PREVENT CAVITIES

You need to visit a dentist to get the decayed teeth cleaned and filled. Don't delay.

Please get the cavities filled, they are milk teeth. Milk teeth need to be in place till  the permanent teeth eruption. Cavities don't spread. It's not contagious
Next Steps
Please advise her to brush twice daily, rinse after whatever she eats or drinks.

It would be best if she visits the dentist at the earliest for fillings or root canals, if need be. That would restrict the spread of decay. Diet modification ( which you have already initiated) and improvement in oral hygiene habits would also be necessary.
Next Steps
Pit and fissure sealants on vulnerable teeth and topical fluoride application as a preventive measure
Health Tips
Xrays would be necessary to gauge the depth and extent of caries( decay) in the affected teeth
