History: I have had -5 eye power in both eyes and had LASIK 20 months ago and my current vision is good.
In my childhood (11 - 14) years I first noticed few floaters in front of my eye, but didn't think too much about them thinking it was normal so rarely noticed them.
Recently I have read about floaters and how they can be symptoms of retinal problems and now I am consciously trying to notice them. I have 3 or 4 floaters in both eyes which I can see in front of a light colour wall or sky when I am thinking about them.
I had my recent full eye examination 1.5 months back and in my reports dilated fundus is written as within normal limits.
When do these floaters become an indication of retinal problems? Any signs to look out for.
Thanks in Advance.

Floaters are common in myopes. Please consult local ophthalmologist if you observe floaters associated with flashes of light or sudden decrease in vision.

Floaters are commonly seen by high myopes. Since your dilated fundus examination is Normal therefore no need to worry. Sudden increase in floaters Or floaters associated with flashes of light requires urgent fundus examination.
Go for yearly fundus examination
Floaters are common in Myopia. L take green leafy vegetables and fish and eggs etc. Have adequate sleep. Pl consult ophthalmologist if they increase or associated flashes. Plhave regular eye check ups.
I agree with Dr. Yamini.
Try and ignore the floaters.
Only if you see flashes of light or 25-30 floaters together in a bunch, then rush to the hospital.
Otherwise an annual dilated fundus evaluation is sufficient.
