These symptoms can be due to fast reduction of antidepressants which is called as discontinuation syndrome. The chances of it happening depends on which antidepressant was prescribed and how fast was it reduced. Usually the symptoms resolve within few days. The other explanation could be rebound anxiety or the underlying anxiety disorder coming back. 4 months is usually a short time to start tapering medication. Discuss with your Psychiatrist about the suitable timeline for going off medication. Also try other methods to control anxiety alongwith.
