Redness in one eye

My 9 year old son is having rerom ladness in one eye from last 1 week or so.. There is no pain but sometimes he feels itching into it. What can be the reason? I am using ceftum eye drops but its not clearing redness.

This can be due to allergic conjuctivitis Don't rub eyes Give cold comprssions with ice Start betoact eye drops two times a day
