Recurring Gastritis and low grade fever
I keep getting frequent stomach infections and low grade fever(100F). Got some tests done, CBC is normal except Hb 11.5, and ESR:50, CRP44. Doctor has prescribed Rifaximin and PPI. I get a persistent headache during the infection. There is a little infection in urine, stool test has also detected bacteria and i am awaiting culture reports. My query is Can Gastritis cause fever?

Gastritis does not cause fever except very very rarely when other Infections are also there. RECCURRANT fever needs proper evaluation. Tuberculosis has to be ruled out. Incomplete TREATMENT also leads to such problems even in simple infection.
Esr raised points towards chronic Infection.
