It all depends upon the stage of Lung cancer.The cause must be treated. Steroids May improve, temperorily, but if cause is not treated, Cough will recurr.pl consult pulmonologist with detailed history and reports and treatment taken for better evaluation and treatment.

It depends on what is the cause,if inflammation of airways then yes inhaled steroids and oral steroids short course can work , however there are other many causes and they also need to be addressed for maximum relief.take care
