Rectovaginal fistula
Hello but I had stage 3 cervical cancer. She is now cancer-free but the radiation treatment was so aggressive and the surgeon cut her accidentally, that she developed a hole between her vagina and her bowels. Can it be repaired with a skin graft like a rectovaginal fistula? Or will she had no other options other than ostomy?

These are difficult to treat. Best way is to have a ostomy and try a repair. Some form of graft is needed. We have tried a few robotic repair with mixed results.

It won't heal that easily. Will need a flap to heal. Ideally will need temporary ostomy then repair with flap once heals ostomy reversal. Will take around 6 mts.
