Re exposure with dog
I have 2.5 year old boy on 1 september 2026 when we go to the mandir someone pet labra running around when he running he slightly colide with my son means my son is in standing position and the dog is goes from back side and while dog running from his back side dog tummy slightly touch to my son back my son is not move also means the collision is so slightly and dog run away these was a incident. And my son wear full pant means dog touch on clothes we came home i thoroughly check his back and legs also so I did not found any scratch that time after 2 to 3 days suddenly I saw a small scratch on his leg but not on back side of leg the mark is on slightly front side and side of leg small scartch . Am so worried if I miss the scartch that time .the dog is pet and looks normal after 9 days of incidents and my son done his PEP in March he got 4 shots of intramuscular injection his last shot on 26 may 2026 .i attached the picture of his leg please tell the scratch look 9 days old ?

Its been 9 days and the wound shows healing with scab formation. As you have already checked for scratches and you have not noticed might be unlikely that might not be due to dog and your child has completed full course of vaccination 3 months back. After 3 months if there is an exposure ideal schedule would be two doses of vaccine.

From the history described, the incident appears to be very low risk for rabies. The dog only collided with the child while the child was wearing full pants, and you did not notice any bite, scratch, bleeding, or broken skin immediately afterward. Rabies is not transmitted simply by a dog touching intact clothing or intact skin.
Next Steps
Since the dog is known and reportedly healthy, it should be observed for 10 days from the date of the incident. If the dog remains completely healthy through the 10-day observation period, this is strongly reassuring regarding rabies transmission from that incident. Because the child has also previously completed a rabies vaccination course.
