Hello. At the centre of every tooth and root of the tooth is a nerve/ dental pulp. Root canal treatment is the process of removal of infected nerve/ dental pulp within the roots of the tooth and then cleaning and filling of this space with an inert material. This prevents further infection in the tooth and relieves tooth of any pain. If your dentist has advised you a root canal do not prolong it
