Hello sir, there is a possibility that tooth was excessively cut during the cutting procedure and therefore it might require a root canal or the tooth underneath is infected. The xray would reveal a better picture.

There are 2 possible reasons: 1 . If the tooth was already root canal treated then one needs to get an x Ray n mostly go for re rct ( again root canal therapy) 2. If root canal therapy was not done and crown was placed for esthetic purpose or a huge filling (restoration) was done and thus to protect a crown was placed mostly probably during crown cutting and reduction pulp ( nerve of your tooth) has got involved . Thus one will have to go for rct (root canal therapy)
Next Steps
Get an appointment with dentist( preferably an endodontist) X-ray to be taken Root canal therapy In worst case scenario extraction
Health Tips
Crown would have to be removed Couple of dentist suggest to drill a hole through the crown . Depends on the case , crown n prognosis.

Hi, the chances are that the concerned tooth is already root canal treated and is now reinfected which is causing pain. It has to radiographically evaluated to suggest a course of treatment.
