Rapid weight gain due to thyroid issue
Hi,
I've been gaining weight Rapidly for the last 2-3 months. I have gained 3kg of weight without any diet change. In the months of May I have been diagnosed with Thyroid which is 9.25 uIU/ml.
Suggest me how I can reduce my thyroid level and how thyroid is related to weight gain.
Also suggest food i should avoid.

As TSH levels between 5-10 , and having symptoms of weight gain ..you should start Tab thyronorm ..dosage depends on your weight and age …

Thyroid illness is a long-term illness like diabetes, hypertension and certain other diseases and requires regular follow-up with your treating physician and micro adjustments of the dosing to achieve acceptable levels in the Blood.
Under treating and over treating the disease can both lead to several adverse effects.
