Rabies by touch
Unknowingly I have touched a dead baby bat body. So I have a doubt does a dead body of a bat can transfer any rabies virus? Just by a touch with a bat dead body can anybody get infected by rabies virus?

“Rabies cannot be spread by the body of a dead bat.” Rabies virus does not survive long outside the body. It needs living nerve tissue to stay active. Once the animal dies — like a bat — the virus in its saliva and nervous system quickly becomes inactive, especially if the body is exposed to air, sunlight, or heat. So, no need to worry about spreading the virus to you.

Bats in india are fruit bats and they won't spread rabies and no dead animal can spread rabies infection from their skin.

No, you cannot get rabies just by touching the dead body of a bat with intact skin. Rabies virus does not penetrate through unbroken skin.
