Rabies booster dose quantity
Hello Doctor, I have doubt in quantity of doses for intradermal route. If someone first time taking rabies vaccine. in day 0, they taking .1ml in both deltoids. Means total .2ml. If someone taking booster dose the quantity will be .1ml only in one side in day 0 or what quantity?? Please clarify it. I am confused.

Your confusion is understandable—intradermal (ID) rabies dosing differs for primary vs booster schedules.
Next Steps
• If already completed full primary vaccination earlier: – Follow booster schedule only (Day 0 & Day 3, single site 0.1 mL each) • No need to repeat full course unless: – Immunocompromised – Incomplete previous vaccination • Always ensure: – Vaccine given intradermally (not subcutaneous) – Proper documentation
Health Tips
• ID route uses smaller dose but is equally effective when given correctly • Avoid confusion between IM and ID schedules • Take vaccine from reliable center with trained staff • Keep vaccination record safely ⸻
