Query regarding salmonella typhi
Is it true that when typhoid is not permanently cured it's bacteria escapes and start residing in gall bladder and cause intermittent problems to the patient resulting in relapses and other problems ? Someone told me that it's nearly impossible to detect such type of bacteria which resides in gall bladder by blood culture or stool culture because they don't show up easily and frequently. What are the antibiotics given to treat such type of complex and subtle bacteria which starts residing in gall bladder ? Are IV antibiotic injections a superior option than oral antibiotics ?

This does happen but this does not mean that it is not curable. With antibiotics it is completely curable. Yes iv antibiotics are superior to oral antibiotics.
