Cefixime and cephodoxime both belong to the same group of antibiotics called as cephalosporins. Both work well when used in combination with ofloxacin for intestinal infections. It is up to you doctor's discretion as to where the infection is. But if we have to chose any one, Cefixime with ofloxacin is better for intestinal imfections. P.S: You should use any antibiotic only if a doctor prescribes, never self- medicate as we are seeing alot of infections which are resistant to these antibiotics due to their mere misuse.
