Post gastroenteritis there will be significant loss of electrolytes and fluids from body. So it takes sometime to get back to normal. 3weeks of antibiotics is quite longer duration. Normal gut flora might have been disrupted....Darolac and probiotics will help to restore your gut microbiome. Take soft diet Fiber rich diet ORS Adequate hydration Curd or yoghurt intake

Weakness after a gut infection occurs because fighting illness and taking antibiotics depletes your nutrients, electrolytes, and gut bacteria. To recover, prioritize rebuilding your microbiome, restoring fluids, and easing back into a nutrient-rich diet. 1. Continue Probiotic Support Although you took Darolac for 5 days, antibiotics can take time to bounce back from. Consult your doctor about extending probiotic support or adding natural sources like unsweetened curd, buttermilk, or easily digested fermented foods. 2. Rehydrate and Restore Electrolytes Dehydration is a major cause of post-infection fatigue. Drink plenty of clean water, coconut water, or clear broths. You can also use Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS) to quickly replenish lost minerals. 3. Follow a Bland, Digestible Diet Avoid spicy, oily, and heavily processed foods. Eat small, frequent meals. Focus on easily digestible options like khichdi (rice and lentil porridge), plain white rice, bananas, applesauce, and toast (the BRAT diet). 4. Gradually Introduce Prebiotic Foods Once your digestion stabilizes, feed your recovering gut bacteria with plant fibers. Incorporate oats, bananas, and cooked, non-spicy vegetables. 5. Rest and Light Activity Do not rush back into strenuous exercise. Focus on getting 7-9 hours of quality sleep and limit physical exertion until your energy fully returns.
