Mistakenly taken 2 doses of antibiotics
I have taken 2 tablets of Augmentin duo 1g in time span of 1 hour by mistake. I have severe diarrhoea due to that. What should I do to treat it?
Also I am breastfeeding my 2 month old son so Is there any effect on him because of this?

Do nothing.
It will be just like taking double dose of Augmentin.
It will get metabolized and excreted in 12 hours .
It is safe in lactation.

Please take probiotic like enterogermina respules twice a day for next three days and take ORS to prevent dehydration.
It will settle with this however if u feel the loose motions are more then kindly consult on practo so that i can guide u with further treatment

Usually augmentin will cause loose stool .dat is y most of the time it is given with probiotics
