I was adviced to take sitabite 100/500 and daponoram and asked to do follow up after 1 month.
I was unable to contact the doctor due to some unforeseen circumstances and it's been 6 months. Can I continue with the same medicine for one month or do I have to stop it immediately?
Pls advice

It's important to not stop your medication suddenly without proper medical guidance, especially when dealing with diabetes and medications like Sitabite 100/500 and Daponoram (likely a combination of Sitagliptin and Metformin for blood sugar control). However, since it's been 6 months since your last consultation, it’s crucial to take the following steps:
---
What You Should Do:
1. Continue the Medicine (for now):
If you’ve been on the medication for a while and have not experienced any major side effects, it’s likely okay to continue the medicine for the short term (one month).
However, ensure you're monitoring your blood sugar regularly to ensure it stays under control.
2. Schedule an Appointment ASAP:
Even though you couldn’t contact your doctor for 6 months, schedule a follow-up appointment as soon as possible to assess the effectiveness of the medication, adjust doses if needed, and check for any complications or side effects.
It’s important to have blood tests like HbA1c and kidney function tests during this visit.
3. Do Not Adjust or Stop Medications on Your Own:
Do not stop the medications without consulting your doctor. Sudden discontinuation of medicines can cause sugar levels to rise or lead to other complications.
4. Stay Active and Maintain a Diabetic Diet:
Ensure you’re sticking to a balanced, diabetic-friendly diet and getting regular exercise, which can complement the effects of the medications.
