I'm 15 weeks
pregnant through ivf with twins. Went through ivf due to a previous silent miscarriage (at 8 weeks), low
amh & poor sperm morphology.
So far, all scans & blood reports have been normal.
I had a cervical length scan today, it came out to be 4.3cm. Doctor said this is normal cervical length and doesn't require a mandatory cercilage. However, since it's twin pregnancy, she suggested to take proluton depot 500 till 28 weeks of pregnancy. But she also offered that in case we still want to go ahead with cervical cercilage, we may choose to.
Since it's twin pregnancy, is it safer to still go for cervical cercilage? What are the odds of miscarriage/pre-term even despite the cercilage? What are the risks of uterine damage/scarring for mother due to cervical cercilage?
