Streptomycin is used for treatment of tuberculosis. Earlier it was first line, now reserved drug used in case of poor liver functions. It is hepatic safe. Oto toxicity is predominant side effect. It is injectable antibiotic.

its an injection..and yes its a 1st line drug..but given as per the requirement for penetration..so a history and extent of disease will be required

It is injection.As there are more effective oral  drugs are available, presently,it is given in certain conditions. It is having side effects like vertigo and oto toxicity. Pl consult pulmonologist for further evaluation and treatment.
