Extent of decay decides to save the teeth or not . Not all decayed teeth with go for extraction Few decayed teeth manifest with swelling and pus if infected . If tooth is firm you can go with root canal treatment ( may take multiple sittings for an infected tooth )followed by crown If tooth is broken till root level go for extraction
Next Steps
Please share X-rays if possible
Health Tips
Go to dentist and tell your problem Either rct or extraction will help you to Relieve pain Tooth cannot come out by itself

A badly broken down tooth which is infected must be treated asap. If most of it is lying submerged and only a little portion is visible outside, you may go for extraction. However get a proper examination and treatment by going to a qualified dentist.

Go for xray to determine the extent of decay. If you want to save your tooth, time and money go to a proper dental clinic, those clinics which offer free consultation, discounts etc don’t do proper required treatment.

It sounds like you may have an infected tooth, which can be a serious issue. It's important to seek dental treatment as soon as possible to address the pain and swelling. Here are some steps you can take: Contact your dentist: Reach out to your dentist immediately to explain your symptoms and schedule an emergency appointment. If your regular dentist is unavailable, you may need to find an emergency dental clinic or dentist to seek immediate treatment. Rinse with warm saltwater: In the meantime, you can try rinsing your mouth with warm saltwater. Mix half a teaspoon of salt in a glass of warm water and gently swish it around your mouth for about 30 seconds. This can help reduce some discomfort and clean the affected area. Over-the-counter pain relief: If you're experiencing pain, you can consider taking over-the-counter pain medication as directed by the package instructions. However, this is only a temporary solution, and it's important to see a dentist to address the underlying issue. Avoid applying heat or cold: Refrain from applying heat or cold directly to the affected area, as it can exacerbate the pain. Remember, these are just general suggestions, and it's crucial to see a dentist for a proper diagnosis and treatment. They will be able to evaluate the condition of your tooth, determine the best course of action (which may include extraction or other treatments), and provide you with appropriate pain relief and antibiotics if needed.
