Pus cell 8-12, epithelial cell 10-12
Hi Doctors My wife is 13 weeks of pregnant, during her ANC profile test, Urine routine test shows Pus cell 8-12, epithelial cell 10-12. Attached the report, please check and let me know further course of action, my hospital advised that after Thalassemia and Double marker test (which will come after 10 days) doctor will see all the report togather. But looking to report I am worried and seeking your kind guidance please 🙏

You need to repeat her morning urine sample. It should be midstream and the wife should not touch the container with genitalia to avoid contamination. If same report result appear, then she need to connect online for antibiotic.

Don’t worry sometimes contaminated urine sample also shows a similar report. Collection of urine sample should be done properly. Midstream urine should be given You may repeat the test again tomorrow with a fresh sample Also because pus cells are more- get urine culture and sensitivity test done As asymptomatic bacteruria is common in pregnancy.

This means she has urine  infection She needs antibiotics you have to connect for a prescription
