My father has pulmonary effusion and the doctor prescribed Aldacon 100 mg once per day for 60 days....actualy my father has diabetic problems...in the morning his diabet is 110 and after eating around 200...he actualy uses insuline three times a day(in total 36 units per day)...and his blood pressure is around 15:8, he also uses Corvitol 100 mg for heartbeat....and for blood preasure Aprovel....actualy his ankles are swollen.....is it ok if he takes Aldacon?

Hi. I understand your concern s.  You can consult a pulmonologist is the fluid is infection or due to kidney or heart problems. Based on that treatment course can be decided.

I believe you mean aldactone.its removes water from body. Fluid outside lungs can be of many causes. Heart problem, kidney problem, infections are all common causes of fluid built up in diabetics. So if your physician has put you on the drugs he must have diagnosed something.
