Traces of protein in the urine means a small amount of protein ,which could be normal or due to urinary tract infection.But a larger amount of protein indicates serious disorders of kidneys.
You could repeat the urine analysis after few days and if it shows presence of protein , you need to go through further tests.

Repeat the complete urine examination
Watch for any fever/swelling of face/feet.
