My father is diagnosed with 179cc of prostate. Sudden atopage of urine, urine catheter placed for passage of urine, my question is, will this prostate can be treated by medicine or surgery required.??

Hello.. In the initial St ages we an treat it with medications but when the symptoms are severe its better to go for surgical resection of the enlarged  prostrate...need not worry..it's a common problem of men at this age....meet a gen surgeon or a urologist... thank you

A trial of medical treatment can be given. If it works, he would require medical treatment for life long with regular checkups. If the trial fails, endoscopic surgery would cure him. You need to consult a Urologist in your city.
