Presentation fear
I have presentation fear. How do I overcome it.When I see so many people are sitting to listen me I got scared. In between I loose interest to explain something so I only speak 2-3 line and then go on silent. The problem is so severe that I got too scared that my heart beat raises very fast and my ears got warm.Sometimes while talking with friends I forgot what I was talking about.I have good memory but my in between the presentation I just forget to what I am talking about and when somebody starts questioning it get worsen.I dont know whether it is language issue because i can understand what the other guy is saying but cant reply back too fast fluently and when the question starts with 'HOW' I just finish in 2-3 words. Please suggest solution. Thanks in advance

Hi I can understand how difficult it is to stand in front in a room full of random people and speak about something. You don't feel comfortable being the center of attention and would prefer being a back bencher and there is nothing wrong about that. However, at work you need to be confident and forthcoming. But that can happen when you stop worrying about what would others think of you and pay more attention on how do you want to present. Do not put unnecessary pressure on yourself before the presentation by think you must perform well. Take deep breathes, practice well, understand your topic thoroughly and present like how you would explain your family or a friend. And remember to always put a smile on your face. This helps to internally motivate yourself and feel relaxed. If your problem still persists then get in touch with a counselor so that you can practice some more techniques and work on your confidence.
