Prescription confusion
I have an abscess in my gum on lower right molar and took a trip to ER. I was prescribed augmentin. I had a dose through the IV and went home no problem. I took another 12 hours later as directed WITH food. All was well until 2 hours later and I started sweating and my heart was pounding like it was going to fall out my Chest. Thought I was having a heart atrack. Weno to er again and they said it was anxiety and they gave me something similar to Xanax. Side affects of augmentin is anxiety......

Augmentin can cause gastric discomfort one of the most common cause may be that could have led to heart burn . Probably you could be allergic to it
