Pregnancy - HCG Test
My wife did her pregnancy test on 15th Oct after one week of missing her period and it was positive, her Last menstrual period start date was 08th Sep; however she observed spotting on 12th Oct. Per doctor's advice Beta HCG test taken on 15th, 17th & 20th Oct with value as 452, 472 & 703 (on 20th). She is currently taking Duphaston 20mg, Foliott & Doxyott as prescribed by doctor. Now doctor has advised to go for USG. Ideally as per doctor HCG count should have doubled by now but there is a slow increasing trend in HCG value being observed.. Wanted to know basis the HCG values if everything is fine or anything to worry about ?? Should my wife continue to take same medication to help support her pregnancy ? She was suffering from viral fever and cold and had taken paracetamol+ cough syrup as prescribed by doctor from  09th Oct - 11Oct before doing the pregnancy test; does this also effect anything in pregnancy or the HCG Count?

No pcm and cough syrup wont affect pregnancy. She should continue medicines as prescribed by doctor till sonography is done , then prescription can be altered. Bhcg is slowly increasing but still increasing..so need to confirm baby's well being and location of pregnancy.
