Pregnancy and the result
Hi, My pregnancy result has come positive on 32nd day. My last menstrual date is 26th August 2016. And now doctor told to do beta hcg test. On the first blood sample the count was 4000 and the second blood sample result was 6200 Is it normal? Is the baby growing normal?

If there are no symptoms of severe pain in abdomen or bleeding a tramsvaginal usg at 7 weeks should answer it question

Hello, Repeat HCG test after 48 hours since the value of hCG doubles in a few time.

Repeat hCG test in 2-3 days.

usually HCG is repeated after 48 hrs. In intrauterine pregnancy 60% rise in 48 hrs is normal. so just relax...

Dear Practo user, The description is not clear in your narrative. It is not clear why beta HCG was advised. The interval between the two samples of beta HCG is not mentioned. In its absence, it is difficult to comment if the growth is normal.
